1 tablespoon of tomato puree

A sprinkling of steakhouse pepper
1 teaspoon of onion granules
1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
The low carb beef chilli recipe
This recipe is great if you are following the Dave Palumbo keto diet or any other diet where you are under severe carbohydrate restriction. The only carbohydrates in the meal will be a couple grams from the tomato puree and a minimal amount from the broccoli and spices. The broccoli is designed to replace rice which is a usual accompaniment to this sort of meal. You will need to blend the broccoli up in a food processor into fine chunks to resemble rice!
Fry off the lean steak mince in a pan with a small amount of oil, then add the salt, pepper, chopped garlic, onion granules, steakhouse pepper and chilli powder. Mix it all in then add the tablespoon of tomato puree and continue to stir. Once all of the puree and seasoning is coating the beef, pour on some of the boiling water, bit by bit. Now turn down the heat and it will gradually start to thicken and you will get some sauce coating the beef. There won’t be loads of sauce unless you want it to be really watery, that’s why it’s important to add small quantities at a time so you don’t over do it. Leave it to simmer then add the blended broccoli into another pan and cook for a couple of minutes in a small amount of oil. Once the broccoli is cooked the chilli will be ready to serve. Plate it up and enjoy, a guilt free classic with a carb free twist!
